Frequently Asked Questions

What is the CGS Giving Day?

Canberra Grammar School will proudly host its First Giving Day on 15 June 2023. This special event is dedicated to showcasing the power of generosity within our School community.

The Giving Day theme ‘Double your impact! focuses on ways to create a positive impact in the lives of current and future students of the School. In light of this during the 24-hour giving period, donations made are doubled by our generous matching donors. What a wonderful way to make your contribution go even further!

When does Giving Day start and end?

CGS Giving Day 2023 will start at 10am on Thursday 15 June and will end at 10am on Friday 16 June.

Can I donate to the website outside of Giving Day?

Yes your donation will gladly be accepted anytime! But if you would like your donation doubled by our generous donors, you will need to donate during Giving Day. Outside of Giving Day, you can also donate via the CGS Foundation website at www.cgsfoundation.org.au

How will my donation be doubled on June 15?

For every $10,000 raised, our generous matching donors will donate a further $10,000 to the CGS Giving Day. Therefore if $20,000 is raised, $40,000 will be received to support CGS Scholarships, bursaries, or campus development projects. If our goal of $50,000 is raised, then the CGS Foundation will receive $100,000!

Check out the challenges page to see what milestone we have completed.

Who will my donation support?

Your donation will be directed towards the fund you choose through the donation process. During Giving Day, your donation can be directed towards Indigenous Scholarships, Merit and Talent based Scholarships or the area of greatest need. If you would like to support an area not listed on the Giving Day website, get in contact and we will ensure your donation is directed to the area you wish to support.
